Keeping with my August Back-to-School theme, I wanted to share a webinar to help teachers confidently introduce chair movement in the classroom. It's the perfect way to provide brain breaks, get the wiggles out, and prepare your kids to learn while having fun.
The following 60-minute webinar, Kid Approved Chair Movement, explores chair-friendly Movement, Meditation, and Mindfulness sessions for children. Ideal for home, classroom, clinic, and hospital settings. Upon completion, participants will be able to:
Determine appropriate applications of seated and chair-based movement
Identify appropriate modifications of yoga-based stretches for the chair
Plan engaging and developmentally appropriate chair movement sequences for children
Includes two seated stretching sequences for kids (themed and non-themed)
For more inspiration on adaptive movement for kids, please visit my Teachers Pay Teachers store, where you will find my super fun downloadable printable flashcard decks. Each themed deck features multiple suggested practices for each card and image represented in the deck, meaning you can create a different experience each time you play. You can also adapt for different abilities and settings - including the classroom!
