Finding balance - physical, mental, and metaphorical - can be tricky for everyone... especially this time of year as we transition from one season and holiday to the next. That's why I love balancing poses - they can be physically challenging and require mental focus and balanced breathing to master. They also require stillness, slowing down, and a true mind, body presence.
The perfect way to maintain a sense of groundedness and presence during these busy times, for kids and adults.
For growing kids, balancing postures target core stability, balance, coordination, and develop mental focus. This week I am sharing a favorite balancing posture to try with your kids, Warrior III. Warrior III is a balancing pose that improves balance skills and core strength. When practiced correctly, the entire body is flexed, strong, and aligned, like a brave warrior’s. This is a great pose for overall conditioning, strength, and focus.
Try it out, and let me know what you think!
Love,

Don’t forget to breathe—all balancing poses require strong mental focus as much as they do physical strength. Your breath will help keep you focused.
