This 55-minute webinar explores the fundamentals of passive and supported stretches that fall under the categories of Hip Stabilizers and Twists. Upon completion, participants will be able to:
Determine the benefits and appropriate applications of restorative Hip Stabilizers and Twists
Demonstrate the ability to guide and assist others in a series of restorative postures that target Hip Stabilizers and Twists
Utilize traditional (yoga blocks, straps, bolsters) and non-traditional (pillows, blankets, towels) props to fully support children in restorative and passive stretches
Determine appropriate time holds and counter stretches for each practice
Plan sessions to include creatively named postures, themes, guided breathing and meditation that are developmentally appropriate and beneficial to children
