The above video features a favorite stretch to counter long periods of sitting - great for classrooms as well as the office! And you don't have to sit on the floor like I am in the video. To adapt to a chair simply place your feet squarely on the floor and rest your hands on your thighs or knees and follow the movement as demonstrated to stretch and release your spine. This stretch is also great for the neck, chest, shoulders, and abs. It feels great for the body, especially after extended periods of sitting, improves posture, and by including the breath work as cued stress and tension melt away.
